Crystal Reports Alerts I think there are some things that need clarifying in relation to alerts (and perhaps its me that needs clarifying). Anyway someone please comment on this:
In the configure screen the option "Generate alert from empty records" refers to an alert that Crystal Delivery generates when no records are present in the report. However the option "Continue to export report if an alert is detected" (an option originally added at my request) refers to the detection of a Crystal Reports alert NOT the CD alert.
The field "Send alert notice" refers to which of the 2 options above? I assume the intention of this field is for email addressed correct? If this field is tied to the "empty records" option above then what does the "empty records" email look like(subject/body)? If it is tied to the CR alerts option and we choose not to export when a CR alert is detected does the CR alert get sent to the destination in this field?
Regards.

'Continue to export report if an alert is detected' applies to any alert regardless if the alert is generated by Crystal Report or Crystal Delivery. Therefore the 'Send alert Notice' is for both cases. Currently and email is sent to only the address specified in the config screen. I could add the option to send and email to the destination also if needed.
The Crystal Reports email is like:
Report Alert
Report #4: Date Test.rpt
Alert: Fixture number error
Report Alert
Report #4: Date Test.rpt
Alert: test 2
Parameter Settings
parEndDate: 1/12/2006
parStartDate: 11/28/2005
Fixture Number: 1
The Empty Report email is like:
Empty Report Alert
Report #4: Date Test.rpt
Alert: No Records Printed
Parameter Settings
parEndDate: 1/12/2006
parStartDate: 11/28/2005
Fixture Number: 1
