Failed to open the connection
When i click view i get failed to open the connection. I can open the report with Crystal reports 10 ok, i do not enter any username or password. I also clicked on get settings from Crstal reports, this did not work either. Also, i set export to pdf, and it creates a pdf file of 0 bytes? Can anyone help please?

Check the values for the "Connection String" to each table. I am guessing something is not correct there.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but why do i need a database connection if the data is already in the rpt file i just want to convert it to pdf?

v5.9.8 allows you to run reports without attempting to login in or change parameters so that you can view/export/print reports with saved data. In the 'Report Settings' screen there is a check box you can click to tell CD not to login.
