Importing scheduled reports from older versions of CD to 5.9
I installed the upgrade with no problem. I installed it to a different directory than my old install of 5.7.3 I am trying to restore the scheduled reports from 5.7.3 into 5.9.1 I copied the Backup directory into the directory of 5.9.1 (/cd1) from the directory of 5.7.3 (/cd) I click restore... and... nothing happens. Are the .cpf files from 5.7.3 compatible with 5.9.1? If not... how do I convert them into a format which would be accepted by 5.9.1? Is there a utility for this? Alternatively... if I installed 5.9.1 over the 5.7.3 directory... would it have all the reports that I have scheduled loaded? Thank you, have a nice day.

Try copying the Backup folder and the ScheduledReports folder to the new installation directory. The run CD and restore the backup. If the files look jumbled, then the current version will not read in those files without some manual manipulation. I do have an editor that can open and save the encrypted .CPF files to allow for manual manipulation do get the files in the correct format for CD. Typically this involves placing the version number on the first line of the file.

Yes, I've done that. It loads nothing. How big is that editor?

I went to look for the editor and it appears the source code didn't survive my hard drive crash. I will need to recreate the editor. The stand alone .exe (no install file) was small enough to email in a zip file.
