ITIRCL.DLL Hi,
When I am installing crystal delivery I am getting an error message saying that itircl.dll is file is protected by windows and cannot be updated. So I carried on and when I run reports that use SQL ODBC connections they bring up an error which is :-
Prompting falied with the following error message: ".
Error source: Error Code: 0x80004005.
But when I run reports using our TUN ODBC Connection its fine!
Any Ideas???
Many Thanks.

This happens when installing on Windows 2000, you must manually update WINNT\System32\Dllcache and then WINNT\System32 and with the latest version of ITIRCL.DLL.
You must update the Dllcache directory first because Windows 2000 recopies any files that are changed in WINNT\System32 from WINNT\System32\Dllcache.
The directory could be WINNT or Windows

I'm guessing that your error has nothing to do with the problem you had updating itircl.dll . That DLL appears to be related to HTML Help files, so it would presumably only be an issue when trying to view the Help file (CrystalDelivery.chm). FWIW, did you have anything else running when installing CD, especially a Help window in some program? That could explain why Windows wouldn't update that DLL.
As for the error you're getting, have you tried searching Google for it? A search for that number turns up lots of hits, including a number that refer to ODBC.
