Report Export Options
I am having some difficulty understanding the various options for report exporting. The only way my current reports are exported is if I set to forced report, but then I get the same report exported every time the system checks. What I am trying to achive is as follows: - I have a report that I want to run only on Friday, every Friday at 4:00pm. - I am not sure what values/options I need to specify in: Export Unit, Export Value, Export Time Envelope, Export Days. - Tried specifying Export Interval Unit as Days, specified my start/end times, select only Friday in the export days, set the timer to auto mode, but nothing happens. - I also ticked the box allow report export of this report but with no luck. I have read the supplied help documentation and checked previous posts but with no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. - I am running 8.3.0.0 Crystal Delivery and run Crystal Developer 8.5

Crystal Delivery does not export at an exact time. It is a approximate time, so I opened the time envelope to 3:55 till 4:05. Refer to the image below for all my settings.

Thank you for your reply and screen-shot. I have a couple of questions: So entering a value of "1" implies once per day? In similar fashion, if I have selected "Week" as the Unit Days, and selected Tue and Fri as my days, and I want the report to run at 9:00am on each of the days, what value do I specify in the Value Field? "2" for twice a week, or "1" to run report once only? This is where I am getting a bit confused in understanding the paramateres required in the value field?

You need to readjust your thinking just a little. Twice a week is really just once a day on two different days. If you select Weeks and 2 then crystal delivery will export the report every two weeks as measured from the run history date and time. You can also think of it like this: 1. Run History is the staring time for all measurements. 2. Unit is the minimum unit of measure to add to the starting time when checking for reports that need exported. 3. Value is the multiplier for the unit of measure. For an example, lets use Weeks:2. The logic becomes this: 1. Get the run history date 2. Add two week to this date 3. Compare this date to the current date/time 4. If current is greater, then export.
