SERIOUS PROBLEM after Installation
I have just installed CD on Windows 2003 Server where Crystal Reports 10, Crystal Enterprise 10 was running on a live system. While I trialed the features of CD, I received a phone call from our Head Office stating that no user can log into Crystal to view/print reports. Having investigated further, when the users try to login to the Crystal Viewer page, there is no login form displayed. Instead I get the error: <------------------------------------------------------> Microsoft JScript runtime error '0x800A01AD' Automation server can't create object line: 3271 <------------------------------------------------------> Since this happened on the live system, the first thing I did was uninstall CD, rebooted the Server and the error was still there. I have tried looking for vairous solutions on Crystal's website, Google, Microsoft and so far, nothing has helped resolve the problem. I am fairly desparate to fix this problem as people are running reports very regularly. Please help! Regards M Meghji

Problem Fixed
Dear all, Further to my previous post - I have managed to fix the problem. Let me trace back my steps (hopefully it will help someone, someday, somewhere) My environment: Windows 2003 Server Crystal Reports 10 Crystal Enterprise 10 SQL Server 2000 After I uninstalled Crystal Delivery - The error message as per my prev post appeared because 2 key "dll" files were unregistered within Windows 2003 Server. This included: WebReporting.dll and EnterpriseFramework.dll <-------------------------------------------------------------> SOLUTION: To re-register the dll files, open command prompt and type at the prompt: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin\WebReporting.dll regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Enterprise 10\win32_x86\EnterpriseFramework.dll <-------------------------------------------------------------> Now try and launch the web viewer or run a report and it should work. If it doesnt, then the problem could lie in another dll file being un-registered. This seems to be a problem with the uninstall process of the CD and should be looked into and updated. PS: If you are looking to trial this software - DONOT install it on a live production system like I did - as it will cause your users down time and alot of stress for you to fix it. Boy, im glad i found the problem within 3.5 hours. Create a test environment on a different physical machine first. Regards M Meghji
