Version 8.2.0.0 Problems
Hi there, I tried installing Crystal Delivery 8.2.0.0 on 3 different computers and they all have the same issue. When I click on schedule in order to import a .rpt file, the dialog box simply does not show up. Also, I have a 4th computer on which I was running an older version of Crystal Delivery and it upgraded just fine on that one. The only problem is, when i click on "to tray", I cannot seem to bring it back. I need to shutdown crystal delivery.exe in the task manager. All computers are XP fully patched + sp3. They also have Crystal Reports installed. Please let us know how to fix this or how to get our hands on version 7.0.6.9 Thanks

This is my guess... The older version of Crystal Delivery included all of the required runtimes (both .Net and Crystal Reports). The new version of Crystal Delivery does not include these runtime files. Running the setup.exe should attempt to download the required runtime file from the manufacturers websites (Microsoft and SAP). This download/install is probably failing. Check the see if you have Microsoft .NET 2.0 runtime.

Another thing to try... This looks like a runtime error issue. I updated the links on the groffautomation.com to point to new runtime files. Try installing the runtime and see if the error is fixed.

Issues fixed. Thanks for the swift reply. Anyone else reporting that they cannot recall the program to focus after sending to tray ? That would be the only issue left to fix for us. Let us know if you have any idea what could cause it. Thanks

The tray issue has been fixed in version 8.3.0.0
