Excel Datasource

I have several reports that are run off of data stored in Excel sheets on a Samba (windows share).

I have verified that that PC(s) in question can access the share and the spreadsheet.

Reports created in CR V10

Computers are Win XP Pro SP 2

The PC's do NOT and can NOT have Excel, they have no MS Ofx programs at all. Nor do they have CR, only CD.

I have an ODBC DSN for "Excel Files" that matches the PC that CR is on, but still get "Database Error:" when trying to run the report.

Other reports that use MySQL are running just fine.

Any hints on getting Excel XLS files as a database/source working.

The reports work fine when run via CR 10. Sad

Any suggestions?
